The TESCO 24-200BBS is a self-contained, traffic signal battery backup system incorporated into a TESCOFLEX® metered underground service distribution and control pedestal. It is designed to provide hours of uninterrupted power through weather outages and other disturbances, providing safety for drivers and law enforcement officials under hazardous conditions. It has become the standard for hundreds of agencies and departments of transportation throughout the United States and Canada. The 24-200BBS also provides power distribution and metering rated for 120 to 480 volts; single phase or three phase applications; 1, 2 or 3 pole main breakers; and may be rated at 100 amp or 200 amp.
TESCO’s 24-200BBS cabinets, with all-welded construction and stainless steel hardware, are built to NEMA and UL 508A standards, and wired to conform to NEC and UL standards. The system is appropriate for retrofit projects or new installations; and can be side-mounted to an existing controller cabinet, or installed free-standing on a concrete base.
Due to varying municipal and DOT standards, Tesco Controls, Inc. manufactures BBS systems to meet specific client requirements, including design and architectural aesthetics.
