The TRANS-TRAP, manufactured by Tesco Controls, Inc., is a 12-stage (6 line side and 6 load side) surge arrestor for analog signal loop applications requiring maximum lightning and transient power surge protection. A unique 6 stage-per-conductor circuit traps and diverts the majority of transients allowing self-restoration of the process signal. In the event of extremely high transients, replaceable components disrupt and isolate damaging surges from critical control components, thus maintaining the integrity of the control system. Independently reacting line-to-ground discharge components and series dampening circuits are configured to provide these unique 6 stages of protection:
Triple spark gap dissipater provides high transient line-line and line-ground current diversion.
Dual input current limiting fast blow fusing provides input circuitry protection.
The APT pressure transmitter provides accurate linear pressure sensing in ranges from 0 – 1.3 to 0 – 15 PSI. A solid-state piezoresistive silicon element into which a Wheatstone bridge has been diffused offers a high degree of accuracy and long term stability. High resistance burden compensation and 12-98 VDC loop power design allows the APT to be remotely located, several miles from the receiver/source, without degrading accuracy or operation. A unique 12 stage lightning/surge protection circuit, TESCO TRANS-TRAP, may be incorporated to provide optimum circuit protection in harsh environments where lightning protection is a serious concern. Multiple APT’s can be direct panel mounted on 2 inch centers, with front panel adjustments, eliminating the requirement for external transmitter enclosures and costly field wiring.

The Reactive Air Level Monitor by Tesco Controls, Inc., is a trapped-air fluid level monitoring instrument designed for application in most liquids and slurries in wastewater, storm water, and fresh water systems. This technology offers and elegantly simple solution for measuring fluid levels with extreme reliability and accuracy, in liquids containing up to 30% solids.
TESCO’s Reactive Air Level Monitor consists of a compression bell connected by a sensing tube to a remotely mounted pressure transmitter. The principal of operation is based on the fact that a change in fluid level outside the bell will compress the trapped air column proportional to the change in fluid level.
Small changes in level within the bell, correspond with a significant change in pressure at the pressure transmitter providing superior accuracy. An integral compressor is used to purge the compression bell. During the purge cycle, the level seen by the pressure transmitter is frozen using onboard electronics. A solenoid valve automatically isolates the pressure transmitter from the sensing line during the purge cycle, eliminating undue shock to the pressure sensing element.
TESCO’s Reactive Air Level Monitor is immune to solids build-up and inaccuracies resulting from foaming or fluid separation. Since no electronics or electrical conductors are used between the bell and the pressure transmitter, high noise immunity is realized.

Combining new technology with a familiar device, the Opti-Float® level detector is a revolutionary innovation in discrete level detectors. It’s made of safe, recyclable materials. It’s mercury and lead free and is built to last for years of service.
The design of the Opti-Float® level detector is amazingly simple. Using fiber optic cable, it transmits a beam of light from an LED in a remote transceiver down to the float, where the beam makes and breaks depending on the tilt of the float. When the transceiver detects the presence or absence of light, it activates a relay in the transceiver, which can then operate other devices. The transceivers are all dual din rail mounted units, which can connect to two floats. Additional transceivers can be used for additional floats.
The fiber optic cable, created specifically for the Opti-Float® level detector, requires no special tools for connection. And while it looks similar to other float cables, there is one huge exception: No electrical wires and inherently safe!
So now, for the first time, floats can be used directly without special equipment in hazardous locations.

The TESCONNEX® Sump Termination Panel by Tesco Controls, Inc. is a NEMA type 3RX cable entry cabinet with two physically separate sections designed to isolate potentially hazardous or corrosive sewage gasses from electrical cable termination points and vent the gasses to atmosphere.
With the cables joined at a termination block, the need to splice resin sealed cables is eliminated. The first section is a ventilated space suitable for a Class I, Div. II hazardous area. The second section includes pump cable termination blocks rated for a minimum of 150% of pump FLA. The panel itself is constructed of durable 316 stainless steel or powder-coated aluminum suitable for harsh industrial environments.
